Frontend jQuery Developer

Blueday Inc. is an enterprise SaaS company focused on retail chains with more than 25 stores. Our solution maximizes the potential of a retailer’s fleet of stores by boosting the sales productivity of their in-store teams. Blueday makes it easy for good store teams to become great and has already created tremendous value for leading retailers such as Victoria’s Secret and Advance Auto Parts.

The main objectives of the Frontend Developer is to leverage the Blueday application framework to design, configure and deliver a customer dedicated instance with a focus on reusability, maintainability, and performance.  The ideal candidate will have excellent HTML, CSS, and jQuery skills and have various in-depth experience on integrating various front-end web technologies. Best-practice development and design methods will be utilized to ensure timely completion of various implementations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implement customer focused deliverables based on detailed functional specifications
  • Accurately replicate mockups into fully fledged website features
  • Optimizing sites for scale and usability
  • Troubleshooting frontend related technical issues and bugs
  • Assist with design / graphic related priorities
  • Launching and maintaining multiple instances of Blueday websites
  • Cooperate closely with Engineering Teams to understand and leverage Blueday application framework

Experience:

  • Expert web developer in a professional environment
  • Successfully participated in multiple large-scale web-based application development efforts
  • In depth knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery 5+ years
  • Proficient at Responsive Web Design 3+ years
  • Proficient at building highly interactive high-performance web page 3+ years
  • Experience using version control tools like TFS
  • Knowledge of graphic editors like Photoshop
  • Understanding of server-side web development languages like PHP, .NET
  • Excellent technical communication skills
