SQL Database Engineer

Blueday Inc. is an enterprise SaaS company focused on retail chains with more than 25 stores. The main objectives of the SQL Database Engineer is to provide the appropriate database infrastructure to develop, deploy and support the Blueday Cloud Solution. This position will integrate with a highly proficient team of engineers and will work in close partnership with the frontend development and the DevOps teams. This role requires a strong information technology foundation in database management, ETL.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage, monitor and maintain Blueday cloud SQL Server instances
  • Participate actively in customer onboarding projects
  • Ensures timely Blueday database and ETL deployment to meet project deliverables
  • Responsible of loading customer’s data into Blueday schema using SSIS
  • Execute requested changes, updates and modifications to database structure and data
  • Ensuring database security, integrity, stability and system availability
  • Maintaining database backup and recovery infrastructure
  • Develops and maintains excellent working relationships with other Technology teams and other departments/teams


  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2016+
  • Expert in SQL Server ETL / SSIS 5+ years
  • Expert in SQL database management and database design 3+ years
  • Proficient in database development stored procedures, functions, views (T-SQL) 3+ years
  • Excellent communication skills in working with co-workers, internal clients and customers
  • Ability to plan work, anticipate and resolve technical and other problems
